Treatment Methods
As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Cheryl Marrs specializes in an integrative approach to treatment including conventional, holistic, and complementary/alternative interventions. Her treatment philosophy centers around a collaborative approach towards achieving a better quality of life. She aims to minimize the use of medication and use her prescriptive authority in a realistic and practical way.
-
Medication Management:
-
Full prescriptive authority specializing in psychotropic medications. I do not prescribe benzodiazepines long term and will start a tapering schedule very soon after our first appointment if you have been taking these medications for an extended time. I believe they occasionally have a purpose, but they are also a
hindrance to learning that you innately have the ability to handle most of what life throws at you.
